Front Desk Associate & Administrative Assistant

NEST Center City is looking for a responsible, reliable and highly motivated Front Desk Associate and Administrative Assistant. As a front desk associate you are one of the first points of contact for NEST Center City. You will welcome clients and take calls in a warm and professional manner and appreciate the importance of reception and the significance of being at the forefront of a successful business. In this role, you will also act as an administrative assistant for the General Manager to help ensure the smooth and efficient running of office and administrative operations. 

Key Responsibilities as a Front Desk Associate Include:

  • Accommodate clients and guests of NEST by delivering excellent customer service that ensures ongoing sales and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Take on sales responsibilities from generating leads to closing sales in a professional but fun manner
  • Strive to meet and exceed pre-established sales goals for all sales especially Membership, Classes and Party sales.
  • Provide pro-active sales and informative guest tours utilizing SOP’s and training, and working with clients to determine their needs and recommending the right products and services to meet those needs and drive sales.
  • Assist with the completion of opening and closing and actively participate in morning huddles and meetings to understand pertinent topics, initiatives and sales goals.
  • Assist with required management of NEST operating departments to support necessary coverage and opening/closing procedures.
  • Ensures completion of paperwork, sign-in and security procedures.
Key Responsibilities as an Administrative Assistant Include:
  • Supports the General Manager in various administrative duties, including facility and general maintenance services. 
  • Edit copy to ensure proper grammar, spelling, syntax and style. Requires an eye for detail and excellent knowledge of grammar and style.
  • May also assist other management staff with overflow work, including word processing, data entry, Internet research tasks, and filing.
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
Essential Skills:
  • Excellent communication and telephone skills - fluent, spoken, and written English.
  • Strong computer skills – efficiency with Mac OS, Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Google Drive/Docs. Experience with POS, specifically MindBody a plus,
  • Flexible schedule; able to work 30-40 hours per week including weekends and some Holidays.
  • Friendly personality – approachable, outgoing and works well with as a part of a team
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Flexible and resourceful at problem-solving and trouble shooting
  • Experience in marketing or copy writing a plus
  • College graduate preferred

Party Hosts & Leads
Want to work, party, and play all at the same time? NEST is looking for people who love interacting with children, have an upbeat attitude, and enjoy giving great customer service. Here at NEST, we host birthdays, baby showers, corporate events, and any other reason to party!
Weekends are required for this position. Experience and/or education in this field is preferred.
Party Hosting at NEST consists of but is not limited to:
·      Set-up and breakdown of all parties
·      Interacting with & entertaining parents and children
·      Reporting to birthday party coordinator
Party Leads are responsible for above plus MUST have experience working with children 1- 6 years old in an educational and/or party setting. Leads will have a talent for working with kids, know how to interact with them and their parents/family, and get them to engage in activities. Party leads will be the leader of the party and facilitator of activities.

Looking for somewhere to complete your CO-OP, intership requirements or for school credit? Want to work in a hands-on, fun, rewarding environment? Work along side our Programming Manager as a part-time intern!
Focused on nurturing, creative stimulation, we hold all types of classes from music, sports, movement, gymnastics, cooking, dance, and many more! We also have an Enrichment Program, which are discussion-based classes from 6 weeks to Pre-School Bound! We have the best classes in the Center City area, and NEST Center City will enrich your life at the same time as you enrich others!
Programming at NEST may include, but is not limited to:

  • Assisting in Enrichment and Development Classes
  • Interacting with Parents and Children
  • Setting up classrooms
  • Prepping crafts and creating new ideas for classes
  • Potentially creating and assisting in a NEW exciting class!
  • Report to Programs Manager and work with Program Developer
  • Potential to turn into a paid position
